Sandy Hook Beach ...

So ... when the morning starts off with a heavy rain ... naturally the sleep prolongs :P 
This is story of how the 8 hours Kayaking trip planned for Monday ended up as cycling in the beach :)


Headed off to the Sandy Hook beach ... one of the good beaches in NJ :)

The trip started off with cycling @ around 2:00 PM EST ... and after a good 45 mins, settled down to the beach and the rest in pics ... 

This is the eastern tip of the NJ ... ! The very last corner ... 

I could say ... its the topless tent !! I was camping here for sometime :P

When I started off ... it was around 8:30 PM and a good experience overall :)

Raymondskill Falls ...

Walking down the trail ... the first glimpse of the tallest waterfalls in PA!

Still on the trails ... but managed a quick peak :)

Just before the head of the falls ... YES you guessed it right ... this is where I would love to take a bath :)

Sooo ... U know why these falls are still beautiful? DISTANCE thaan kaaranam !!! ... Look where we are and where the falls is ... !

The falls continues to another dip !! Its quite amazing and we cannot see the full view of the falls ( I mean the full length view of these chunks together)

OK ladies and gentleman ... THIS IS IT !! Yes ... isolated riverbed is where I took the plunge ... finally ! 

On my way back ... couldn't just resist :)

First hints of waterbody - of course apart from the cool breeze and the obvious sound of a distant waterfalls.

Seems like normally this season of the year the water would be thin ! Lucky us ... thats what she said :P

Some tech funda was going on abt these buds ... so my curiosity! Bottom-line is Save plants Save planet!

Eastern Hemlocks getting sick, being replaced by new species of trees!! I cant tell the difference basically .... but took a shot to study in detail later :P

The Dingmans falls!! Quite a funny name ... may be to my Tanglish brain!

Oh yeah ... !! This is just ... Testing my Tripod....!!

OK... I admit ... I like to be in the frame ... occasionally :)

It was real loud and fitting for the second tallest water falls in PA 

So basically the guided tour ended with DFalls and we are upto our own to climb up the stairs and look out for more "views" ... U know .. I won't miss these opportunities ;)

Actually the forest and the river sort of preserved without any commercial element whatsoever ..! So it shows in every angle of the climb ... simply awesome.

That is where we were sometime back ... just before stepping on to the nature climb.

An inviting locale ... just the sound of running water!

YES ... the climb wouldn't be completed without soaking in to the water ... spent some "quality" time here at this spot :)

On the way back ... this .. ladies and gentleman ... concludes our trip to "Ding"mans falls :)
